The Meydan Racecourse was officially opened in 2010, and since them has become a global fixture – not just for horseracing, but for concerts for some of the world’s biggest stars including Elton John and Lady Gaga. The Meydan Racecourse is the centrepiece of Meydan and offers a full season of exemplary horseracing – the highlight being the world’s most spectacular race day, the Dubai World Cup. You can stay overnight at the world’s first five-star trackside hotel, restaurants, 72 corporate suites and a racing museum. The project was incredibly high-specification and cost a total of $1.2 billion.
